WolfSheep collects minimal data necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: When you register, we store your username and a hashed (not plain-text) password.
• Game statistics: Wins, losses, ELO rating, and match history are stored to power leaderboards and profile stats.
• Session data: Temporary data (room IDs, socket connections) is held in memory during active games and discarded afterward.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and maintain your profile.
• To calculate your ELO rating and display it on the leaderboard.
• To match you with opponents of similar skill.
• We never sell, share, or monetize your personal data.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use localStorage (browser storage) to remember your language preference and logged-in session. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

4. Analytics

We use Umami — a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool that does not use cookies and fully anonymizes visitor data. No personal information is collected through analytics.

5. Data Retention

Account and game data is retained as long as your account exists. You can request deletion by contacting us at shutakswm@gmail.com.

6. Children's Privacy

WolfSheep is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent.
