🐺 What is WolfSheep?

WolfSheep is a free online strategy board game inspired by the classic Quoridor. Two players face off on a 9×9 grid: the Wolf must catch the opponent, while the Sheep must break through to the far side. Each player has 10 walls to block paths and outmaneuver their rival.

Think of it as a strategy game on a grid where every move matters. You can play with a friend online, challenge strangers worldwide, or practice against our AI bot. No downloads, no paywalls — just pure tactical gameplay in your browser.

🔄 How WolfSheep Differs from Classic Quoridor

WolfSheep is heavily inspired by Quoridor but introduces unique twists that make it a fresh experience:

• Asymmetric roles: Unlike Quoridor where both players have the same goal, WolfSheep gives each player a distinct objective — the Wolf hunts, the Sheep escapes. This creates deeper strategic variety.
• Online matchmaking: Built-in matchmaking with ELO rating means you always find a fair opponent. No need to set up a physical board or coordinate schedules.
• Three time controls: Blitz (1+5), Rapid (3+2), and Classic (5 min) — adapt the pace to your style. Quoridor doesn't have a clock.
• Neon visual theme: A sleek cyberpunk aesthetic with glowing pieces, particle effects, and smooth animations — a modern take on the classic wooden board.
• AI bot training: Practice against the computer anytime. Improve your wall placement tactics and jump strategies without the pressure of a human opponent.
